R.I.P. Harry Kalas - you will be missed...

I know this is probably a No-No to post on a New York City blog (sorry, Mets fans!LOL), but I'm bold like that! LOL

So sad - Harry has been the announcer for the "World F' ing Champion" Philadelphia Phillies for as long as I can remember. When Harry and Whitey (Richie Ashburn) were in the booth, there was no one better. Hopefully they will have some pull in Heaven and the Phils can get Championship #3!!!

God Bless You, Harry!

Happy, Happy Monday!

After being attacked by my dog twice in December, surgery to repair the damage in January, and 2 months of therapy, I'm finally back to work tomorrow! I am so thankful - for healing relatively fast, for still having a job waiting for me, and for the friends I have made all over the world through my blog!
Unfortunatly, now that I will be at work for 8 hours each day, and then doing chores at night since I'm not at home during the day, I won't have as much time to dedicate to my blog. I am going to aim for 2-3 posts per week.

So, back to Metropolitan Monday...

We now interrupt this broadcast...

No regular post, no theme, no cute little story...just a reminder to do something important today. Put down your remotes and your game controllers, shut down your laptop, and switch off your lights. Today is March 28, 2009, and from 8:30 - 9:30 PM, local time, it is Earth Hour. No party for us - I'm planning on getting out of the house and taking a walk. Healthy for the earth and for me!
